The technology has evolved a long way since 18th century and made substantial changes in the society. The implementation of this rising technology in the workspace eased out the heavy tasks and workloads assigned to the employees to a great extent. The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the banking sector has brought significant changes to work processes. But it has also introduced new challenges. One such challenge is the technostress among employees. When individuals are introduced to new technologes, they sometimes develop negative feelings within them towards the new technology. This is termed as technostress. This technostress manifests in the form of anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, irritability, lack of concentration, muscle tension, etc. This study explores the key factors contributing to AI-induced technostress among bank employees. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we identified and ranked the main factors and sub-factors influencing technostress, such as the quality of work life, cognitive overload, and intrusion into personal life etc. The results indicate that the negative impact on work performance and the perceived need to always be available are the most critical factors that contribute to technostress. Based on these findings, targeted mitigation strategies are proposed. The proposed mitigation strategies include attempts to improve work-life balance, setting clear communication boundaries, and providing ongoing training. This study attempts to deeply understand the stressors associated with AI in the workplace . it also envisages to offer practical solutions to enhance employee well-being in the evolving banking environment.
