Effective English language instruction at the elementary level requires well-qualified and competent teachers who possess both pedagogical expertise and sufficient knowledge of modern educational technologies, along with the ability to implement them effectively in instructional settings. Given the transformative role of technology in contemporary educational environments, the present study aims to examine innovative teaching strategies in English language classrooms, with particular attention to how modern technological tools can enhance teaching effectiveness at the elementary level in Iran. To achieve this objective, a mixed-methods research design was adopted, incorporating surveys and semistructured interviews to gather insights from teachers and learners across various language institutes. These methods focused on evaluating the impact of integrating technologies such as interactive whiteboards, language learning applications, and online platforms on students’ motivation and engagement. Using convenience sampling procedures, the study sample consisted of 30 Iranian EFL teachers (both male and female) and 50 male and female elementary-level language learners. The findings revealed that the use of gamified learning experiences and multimedia resources significantly increased learners’ interest while accommodating diverse learning styles, thereby making language learning more enjoyable and effective. Moreover, the study highlights the critical importance of equipping teachers through digital literacy oriented professional development programs with the essential skills required to implement modern technologies effectively in their classrooms. Such preparation enables teachers to respond more effectively to learners’ needs and to create more dynamic and interactive learning environments. The findings carry important implications for multiple stakeholders, including language teachers, teacher educators, and curriculum developers, underscoring the need to prioritize technology integration and comprehensive teacher training to enhance instructional effectiveness at the elementary level in Iran.
